Can Villarreal get a much needed win?

Villarreal’s form of late in La Liga reads two wins and two draws from their last four games, but they have not been helped by playing three times on the road, with their one home game ending in a 1-1 draw.

They have in fact been superb at La Ceramica, where they have netted at least four times in their four victories, including a 4-0 win over Elche last month.

Unai Emery’s side have also been strong in the Europa Conference League, and come into this clash on the back of a 1-0 win at Austria Vienna on Thursday.

Osasuna’s away day blues

Osasuna have picked up thirteen points this season, but nine of them have come on home soil, where they have been much stronger than on their travels.

Jagoba Arrasate’s side drew 1-1 at Real Madrid in their last away game, but have also suffered defeats at Athletic Bilbao and Real Betis.

Indeed, they have won just two of their last ten away league games, while also picking up only a couple of victories in their last seven trips to this venue.

I predict that Villarreal will win, with 2-1 my correct score prediction.
