Wales face leaky opponents

Wales produced a strong beginning to their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, taking a hard-earned point away to Croatia before beating Latvia 1-0 at home.

The Red Dragons have a solid chance of backing that up when they host Armenia, who were beaten 2-1 by Turkey in their first qualifier before securing a 2-2 stalemate with Cyprus in a friendly, thanks in part to their opponents being reduced to ten men.

Armenia’s defence has struggled recently, they have been beaten 4-1 by Scotland, 5-0 by Ukraine and 3-2 by Ireland in their last five games.

Red Dragons fancied for the win

Wales have hardly set the world alight going forward in their two games of the post-Gareth Bale era but have a very solid opportunity to let loose here.

Expect Rob Page to give a chance to some of his young stars and they should be able to secure a high-scoring victory over these opponents, who are ranked 97th in the world. Armenia have conceded 19 times in their last six, so take Wales to record a 2-1 victory.
