Goals at both ends at Vicarage Road

Back both teams to get on the scoresheet in Saturday’s Championship clash between Watford and Derby at Vicarage Road. Watford played out a 2-2 draw with Preston last weekend and there is every chance that we will see another high-scoring game.

Both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season, but Derby are six places above Watford in the table with three points separating them. The hosts sit 12th with 11 wins and nine defeats, while Derby are sixth with 13 wins and ten losses.

Watford have avoided defeat in their last six Championship meetings with Derby, but the visitors come into this game in good form on the road, having won four of their last six away days.

Both teams have scored in ten of the last 12 Championship meetings between these sides, and 20 of Watford’s 32 matches this season have seen goals at both ends.

Derby will be upbeat about their prospects of finding the net here, having scored in 22 games in a row, including a 5-0 win over Bristol City last month. They have scored in 30 of their last 32 Championship games.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking a decent correct-score bet. Derby have drawn eight Championship games 1-1 this season and seven of Watford’s last nine matches have ended with under 2.5 goals.
