Watford vs Leicester Betting Tips & Predictions

Watford will feel really hard done by after their midweek clash with Manchester United. They had the better of the chances against the Manchester giants, but they couldn’t make their chances count and ended up losing to a late Juan Mata free kick.

This was their 2nd defeat in their last five matches, with two wins and a draw making up the remainder of the results. This isn’t a bad run of results by any stretch of the imagination, and they remain safely in mid-table with 37 points from their opening 28 games. Watford have proven many pundits wrong with their performances this season, and they look like they’ll enjoy a well deserved second season in the Premier League.

This time last year Leicester were rock bottom of the Premier League. Now, ten games from the end of the season, they sit three points clear at the top. Their draw against West Brom was seen as a slip up, but they have actually increased their lead in the table after Arsenal, Manchester City, and Spurs lost their midweek matches.

Leicester have won four of their last six matches in all competitions, and all the talk of Leicester running out of steam because of their draw against West Brom seems incredibly premature to me. They are still in excellent form.

N’Golo Kante will sit this one out, and whilst he is a very important player they do have the experienced midfielder Gokhan Inler to take his place, so they aren’t stuck for an industrious midfielder.

I expect Leicester to get the win here. Watford are a good side but I think the defeat to Manchester United may have taken the wind out of their sails, whereas we have seen Leicester bounce back from defeats multiple times this season. They are away from home though, so I think a Leicester 0.0 Asian Handicap Win is a good backing at 1.825. I’m also going for a 2-0 correct score prediction at 12/1.
