Wrexham can spoil the party at The Hawthorns

Wrexham are a decent away side and have won six of their last eight on the road in the Championship. They can put an end to West Brom’s winning streak when they visit The Hawthorns on Friday.

Wrexham are seventh in the Championship, 13 places and 20 points above West Brom, with 17 wins, 12 draws and ten defeats from their 39 games this season. The hosts have won 11, drawn ten and lost 18.

The hosts have been vulnerable defensively. West Brom have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last nine Championship home games.

Wrexham have upset the odds a few times recently, winning six of their last eight Championship games as underdogs. Backing them in this situation would have resulted in an 8.65-unit profit. They’ve won nine of their 22 games as an underdog overall.

Wrexham are in form going forward, having scored in eight consecutive games, a run that includes a 5-3 victory over Ipswich in February. In fact, they have found the net in 18 of their last 19 league matches.

Wrexham are in excellent form on the road, having won five of their last seven matches in the Championship.

A 2-0 win for Wrexham looks a decent correct-score option. Seven of West Brom’s last nine Championship games have ended with under 2.5 goals, and this could be another low-scoring game.
