Whitecaps vs FC Dallas Betting Tips & Predictions

Whitecaps fell to their 4th defeat of the season last weekend when Real Salt Lake’s 55th minute goal proved enough to settle things. This followed on from Whitecaps surprise 4-0 thrashing at DC United and their goalless draw at home to LA Galaxy as their goalless and winless run extended to three matches.

They did manage back to back wins against Seattle Sounders and Houston Dynamo prior to this, but their defeats to Montreal Impact and Sporting Kansas City in their first two league matches of the season mean they reside down in 9th position in the MLS Western Conference.

They will probably find it difficult to get back to winning ways on Sunday morning as well as they face an FC Dallas side in high spirits. The visitors have only lost one of their eight MLS matches so far this season and come into this match on the back of a six match unbeaten streak.

They have won four and drawn two of these six matches, which when added on to the three points they got against Philadelphia Union in their opening game of the season takes their tally to 17 points; enough to put them at the top of the Western Conference.

Their most recent outing saw them beat Sporting Kansas City 2-1 at home, but they have managed to win two of their three away days so far this season as well. Barring their humiliating 5-0 defeat at Houston Dynamo the favourites for the Supporters Shield have looked impressive on all fronts.

Whitecaps, on the other hand, have only managed one win from their three home games this season and are struggling to find the back of the net at the moment. This gives FC Dallas an excellent chance to increase their lead in the Western Conference, and odds of 23/20 for a FC Dallas Draw No Bet look excellent value for money. I’m going for a 2-0 correct score prediction at 14/1 as well.
