Wolfsburg vs RB Leipzig Predictions

• Leipzig have won nine of their 12 games in all competitions this season
• Wolfsburg are on a three-game losing run
• Both teams have scored in six of Wolfsburg’s last eight matches

Defending champions Leipzig hard to oppose

Leipzig defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 to win the DFB Pokal back in June and they can continue their title defence with victory away to Wolfsburg on Tuesday.

The Red Bulls began their DFB Pokal defence with a 3-2 win over Wehen Wiesbaden in the first round in September and that was a sixth win on the spin in all competitions.

They followed the victory with a three-match winless run before they responded with wins over Darmstadt, Red Star Belgrade and Cologne in the last ten days to get their season back on track.

Leipzig have coped extraordinarily well with a summer exodus of players and the likes of Lois Openda, Xavi Simons and Benjamin Sesko look right at home.

They are worth a bet to see off Wolfsburg, who are having a tough time of it.

Troubling times to continue for Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg made a solid enough start to the season with wins over Heidenheim and Cologne but their subsequent seven matches have produced five defeats, including 3-2 loss to Augsburg on Saturday.

The DFB Pokal would have ordinarily proved to be a nice distraction from the Bundesliga but up against a strong Leipzig side, Wolfsburg should be opposed.

There could nonetheless be goals in this one and Leipzig are worth backing to win it 2-1.
