Wolfsburg vs TSG Hoffenheim Predictions
Hoffenheim Backed to Extend Wolfsburg’s Home Misery
Hoffenheim have won three of their last four away games in the Bundesliga and have gone six away trips without losing, and they can pick up where they left off when they visit Wolfsburg on Sunday.
Hoffenheim are six places above Wolfsburg in the table, but just five points separate the two
sides. Hoffenheim, who are seventh with four wins, one draw and three defeats, face a Wolfsburg team who have won twice, drawn twice and lost four.
Hoffenheim maintained their winning run with a 3-1 home victory over Heidenheim last weekend. Fisnik Asllani opened the scoring in the 18th minute and Tim Lemperle and Andrej Kramaric also found the net. Hoffenheim were 6/10 to win the game and comfortably obliged for favourite backers.
Wolfsburg have yet to keep a clean sheet at home this season, after four Bundesliga games, while Hoffenheim have conceded an average of one goal per game from their four away matches.
Wolfsburg are in a slump. They have failed to win six of their last seven Bundesliga games, and four of the last five have ended in defeat. At home, they have gone 12 games without a win, suffering two straight defeats.
Wolfsburg are out of form, and backing their opponents during their current run of four defeats in five Bundesliga games would have resulted in a profit of 4.07 units.
The away side are in fine fettle. Hoffenheim have been winners in two straight Bundesliga games and are unbeaten in their four away games this season, while Wolfsburg have lost four of their last five.
The hosts’ struggles in attack continue. Wolfsburg have now lost two home games in a row without finding the net, and have managed just four goals at home so far this season, an average of one goal per game.
Hoffenheim can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. Four of Wolfsburg’s last five Bundesliga games have ended with at least one of the sides failing to score and two of their four defeats this season have been by a 1-0 scoreline.
