      Yeovil Town vs Hartlepool Predictions

It’s another long journey down to Yeovil for the Hartlepool players after their initial FA Cup clash was postponed at late notice on Saturday. Heavy rainfall left the pitch at Huish Park unplayable, and it will take a devout Pools fan to make the 600-mile plus trip for a second time.

Things could get worse for the loyal visiting support as well, because they’re facing a Yeovil Town side that look very strong right now. They may have drawn against Boreham Wood last time out, but they have won 10 of their last 13 competitive games and find themselves challenging for the top spot in the National League.

Hartlepool, by comparison, find themselves languishing in mid-table after a rocky opening portion of the campaign. Their loss at home to Solihull Moors last week put an end to their four match unbeaten streak, and now Yeovil will be looking to hand them back-to-back defeats for the third time this season.

Pools’ away form is far from abysmal, but there is plenty for Yeovil Town to exploit. The visitors have lost two of their last five away games, with their only win during this period coming against the dreadful out of sorts Aldershot Town.

The hosts, on the other hand, have an excellent record at Huish Park. They have won five of their last seven competitive games in front of their own fans and have only lost twice in 10 games this season. Considering this home form, we think backing a Yeovil Town Win is the way to go tonight.

That being said, they have had their issues at the back. Yeovil have just two home clean sheets to their name this season and have shipped an average of 1.1 goals per game, but with 1.8 goals per game scored at Huish Park we think a 2-1 correct score prediction is an attractive option.
