Nimes vs Strasbourg Predictions

Nimes and Strasbourg to cancel one another out

Nimes picked up a point away at Brest last weekend courtesy of a 1-1 draw, but remain in the relegation zone. Strasbourg were hammered 4-1 by title-chasing PSG last time out but still have a 6pt cushion above the bottom three.

Strasbourg scored five goals without reply when these two teams locked horns in January for their reverse league fixture. Three of the last five meetings between the two clubs have, however, ended with both sides getting on the scoreboard and we’re expecting more of the same on Sunday.

Five of Nimes’ last six outings have seen both teams score, so while the hosts know where the back of the net is they are also struggling to keep things tight at the back. Four of Strasbourg’s last six matches have also seen both teams score, including each of their last three fixtures.

We’re confident that both teams will score on Sunday and we have predicted a 1-1 draw between the pair. Three of the host’s last six matches have ended all square and on each of those occasions, the scorelines have ended 1-1. Strasbourg’s last draw also ended 1-1 and the visitors have had mixed results on the road in recent weeks.
