Goals likely as Croatia head to Russia

Group H leaders Croatia head to Russia in one of the standout fixtures in World Cup 2022 qualification on Wednesday.

Both sides are missing a few big names for this clash.  Veteran playmaker Luka Modrid is injured, while Ante Rebic and Sime Vrsaljko are not in the squad. For Russia, captain and star striker Artem Dzyuba is a surprise absentee – possibly due to transfer speculation surrounding his future over the last few weeks or so.

In terms of a result this game is hard to call but I do feel we may see goals at both ends here.   Both teams have scored in seven of Croatia’s last nine away games and there have been goals at both ends in five of Russia’s last seven home matches, with a 2-2 draw my pick in the correct score market.
