Bogey teams are one of those strange quirks you get in football, form goes out the window as one team seems to have some sort of hold over the other.

We’ve scoured Saturday’s fixtures and come up with a ‘Bogey Teams’ accumulator where recent and/or historical records suggest one side has the measure of the other, irrespective of form and league positions. These tips may not necessarily line-up with our usual Match Predictions as the only stats we’re interested in here are the head-to-head record, aka the ‘Bogey Team factor’.

You can see our selections for our 32/1 four-fold below, and don’t forget to check out our dedicated Football Tips section for all today’s tips.

32/1 Bogey Teams Accumulator

Watford vs Southampton

Bogey Team betting tip: Southampton to win

Southampton did the double over Watford the last time the Hornets were in the Premier League in the 2019/20 season and are unbeaten in the last six meetings between the two sides, with three wins.

Watford have managed just one win in their last 14 meetings and they haven’t managed to beat Saints at Vicarage Road since a 3-2 victory in the Championship back in 2007.

Rotherham vs Sunderland

Bogey Team betting tip: Sunderland to win

Rotherham and Sunderland have met just five times since the millennium and that’s probably just as well for the Millers, who haven’t managed a win over the Wearsiders since way back in 1962.

In the 15 meetings since Rotherham’s last win, Sunderland have managed 10 victories and have three wins in the last four fixtures between the two sides.

Colchester vs Scunthorpe

Bogey Team betting tip: Scunthorpe double chance (win or draw)

Scunthorpe sit rock bottom of League Two with just 11 points from 14 games so far. The Iron did manage a win over Crawley last weekend though, and may be able to put some more points on the board when they head to Colchester on Saturday.

Scunthorpe have just one defeat in their last 16 meetings with the U’s, but as nine of those games have ended in draws we’ve opted to back the visitors in the double chance market in this clash.

Crawley vs Port Vale

Bogey Team betting tip: Port Vale to win

Crawley and Port Vale have met 13 times since their first fixture just over 10 years ago and Vale have managed to win eight of those games.

Vale have won four of the last five meetings between the two sides, drawing once, and they’ve also won five of their last six games at Crawley.
