There is an absolute feast of golf action this week with the game’s elite battling out for the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play in Austin, Texas.

But it doesn’t stop there as the Qatar Masters takes place on the DP World Tour and the lesser lights of the PGA Tour will have a great opportunity to pick up some vital FedEx Cup points when they head to the Dominican Republic for the Corales Puntacana Championship.

Racing Post tipster Ian Wilkerson has selections for each of the three tournaments, which can be backed as a 9,176/1 each-way treble or as individual bets.

9,176/1 each-way golf treble

If you fancy a golf treble this week, you are pointed towards a 9,176/1 treble with last year’s WGC Dell Technologies Match Play runner-up Scottie Scheffler going one better this time at 20/1 in a tournament that starts on Wednesday.

Our Qatar Masters fancy is Spain’s Adri Arnaus who is 18/1 to claim a long overdue DP World Tour victory at Doha Golf Club, while Sahith Theegala can make up for the disappointment of going so close at the Phoenix Open last month by winning the Corales Puntacana Championship at 22/1.

WGC Dell Technologies Match Play prediction – Scottie Scheffler at 20/1

Scottie Scheffler was pipped to the post in last year’s WGC Match Play but he has burst into the world’s top ten since and can enhance his reputation even further by winning at Austin Country Club this week.

His performance in losing to Billy Horschel led to him being selected for the US Ryder Cup time despite not having won a tournament and Scheffler rose to the occasion, beating world number one in the singles.

That should be a massive boost for his confidence this week as will subsequent victories at the Phoenix Open and the Arnold Palmer Invitational, so he is worth supporting at 20/1.

Qatar Masters prediction – Adri Arnaus at 18/1

Spain’s Adri Arnaus has yet to win on the DP World Tour but a success cannot be too far away and this could be the week with many of Europe’s top stars in Texas.

He was 14th in his last appearance at Doha Golf Club and was second at the MyGolfLife Open, which was his last tournament.

Arnaus was third at the star-studded Saudi International and this field is a lot weaker than that one and he should be bullish having finished in the top ten in six of his last eight outings.

Corales Puntacana Championship prediction – Sahith Theegala at 22/1

Many of the players heading to the Dominican Republic for the Corales Puntacana Championship are aiming to play their way out of bad form, but that’s not the case for Sahith Theegala and he can come out on top of another weak assembly of PGA Tour players.

The 24-year-old saw a triumph snatched away from him when he drove into the water at the 71st hole at the Phoenix Open, finishing third in a field much tougher than this one.

He heads over having finished tied for seventh at last week’s Valspar Championship, and that performance looks a solid building block for a strong push this week.
