Sunday evening sees Manchester United visit an Aston Villa side who are pushing for the Champions League. Unai Emery’s side almost ran out with a win at Old Trafford when these two met on Boxing Day, but they threw away a 2-0 lead in a 3-2 defeat. The rematch has all the makings of another high-scoring encounter.

Ahead of the game, we’ve picked out a 48/1 Ultimate Bet Builder tip for the game. This fourfold has been priced with Betfair and they are offering new customers £50 through the promotion below.

Aston Villa vs Man United Ultimate Bet Builder

Rasmus Hojlund to score

It took time for Hojlund to settle in the Premier League, but he’s hit his stride in recent weeks. The Dane has scored in each of his last four appearances, managing two assists in that run too. The turning point for United’s young summer signing came against Villa last month, when he scored an 82nd-minute winner against them on Boxing Day.

Hojlund looks full of confidence right now and it helps that United are creating better chances for him. Having already proven he can hurt this Villa defence, back him to strike for the fifth Premier League game running.

Moussa Diaby 1+ shots on target

Emery has set Villa up in a 4-4-2 system for much of the season, which has pushed Moussa Diaby into a central striker role. The former Bayer Leverkusen man has looked at home in that position, chipping in with a combined 10 goals and assists so far in the campaign.

Diaby’s scoring form has cooled early in 2024 – although he did net against Chelsea on Wednesday night. Even while he wasn’t scoring, Diaby remained an attacking threat, as he heads into this clash having had a shot on target in four of his last five games. The Frenchman averages 0.9 shots on target per home game in the league this term, so back him to trouble Andre Onana.

Kobbie Mainoo 1+ shots on target

Mainoo has been a real standout for United in recent weeks and the midfielder heads into this clash having scored in two of the Reds’ last three games. His runs from deep have added an extra dimension to the United midfield and he tends to get on the end of chances.

Mainoo has had a shot on target in four of his last five away games, including each of his last three. He scored an important winner at Wolves in their last trip and Mainoo is great value for another shot on target after a great run of performances on the road.

Casemiro to be carded

Casemiro has only two yellow cards to his name in the Premier League this season but that number is likely to jump quite a bit by the end of the season. The Brazilian has averaged two fouls per away game in the Premier League this season, while he’s been racking up cards since returning to fitness.

The midfielder has been booked in two of his three games since returning to the side. He comes into this clash having picked up six yellow cards across his last seven United appearances. He’s been carded 18 times since arriving at Old Trafford, so back him for another card at Villa Park.
