Brentford host Manchester City in the Monday Night Football clash this week, with the visitors out to boost their title credentials. Brentford vs Manchester City Ultimate Bet Builder

Man City to win & both teams to score

Manchester City are peaking in the New Year as usual, which is bad news for their Premier League rivals. The champions have won their last eight matches in all competitions heading into this visit to Brentford.

The hosts have lost eight of their last 10 in the league and they look to be in freefall right now. While they’ve been involved in some high-scoring clashes of late, defensive frailties keep letting them down.

Man City have managed only one clean sheet in their last 11 league games, while they’ve conceded in nine of their last 10 Premier League trips. While the Citizens look good to win this one, back them to concede.

Julian Alvarez to score

While Erling Haaland is on his way back to the starting lineup, Julian Alvarez reminded everyone that he’s more than a backup option. The Argentine got a brace in the midweek win over Burnley, taking him to eight Premier League goals for the campaign.

Alvarez has scored seven goals in his last seven games across all competitions and he’s a great anytime scorer option on Monday.

De Bruyne to make an assist

Since his return from injury, De Bruyne has made three assists across his four appearances. The Belgian’s creativity was sorely missing for City in the first half of the season and he’s set to play a key role in the run-in.

De Bruyne has seen his minutes limited so far, meaning he has three assists and a goal in just 150 minutes of action. However, he started against Burnley in midweek and with plenty of time to rest ahead of this visit to Brentford, De Bruyne looks good for another start.

Brentford’s defence has been questionable, letting in 18 goals across their last seven, so back De Bruyne to set up a goal.

Ivan Toney to be carded

Toney has made a high-scoring return for Brentford, but goals aren’t the only thing he can be relied upon for. The forward was booked nine times last season in the Premier League alone and he’s already picked up a booking after two games back in the side.

Toney is averaging two fouls per game since returning to the team and given how City like to play out from the back, the forward is a good bet for another card.

Christian Norgaard to be carded

Norgaard has been booked eight times for Brentford so far this season and he’s been particularly card-happy during their poor run.

The Dane has been booked in three of Brentford’s last four league games and he’s been carded in three straight home league games. Across his last 12 games for club and country he has picked up seven yellow cards, so back him for another caution.
