European cups winners predictions with gigantic 981/1 treble

The UEFA competitions resume next month as the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League knockout stages get underway.

We’ve picked out a winner for each of the three tournaments and with some big prices available this year’s offering comes in at a whopping 980/1.

Read on to see who we think will triumph in Europe in 2023 and to back out bet.

European Cups Winners Treble

Champions League

Manchester City at 7/4

Manchester City haven’t managed to replicate their domestic success on the European stage since their big money takeover 15 years ago, but they could finally get their hands on the Champions League crown this season.

Last season, City were eliminated in the semi-finals as they inexplicably blew a two-goal aggregate lead in the final minutes of the second leg before going on to lose in extra-time.

That should provide more than enough motivation to put that right this year and they also have Erling Haaland in their side now. The Norwegian has been incredible this year and has impressed previously in the Champions League with Borussia Dortmund,

City are the Champions League favourites, and they look the team to beat on paper with holders Real Madrid and last season’s runners-up Liverpool looking particularly vulnerable.

Europa League

Roma at 20/1

We asked our team of experts for their Europa League picks in this week’s edition of In The Mixer and Roma emerged as the most popular choice – and for good reason.

At 20/1, they offer great value and in Jose Mourinho they have a manager in place who has won plenty of European silverware, including this competition with Manchester United.

The Giallorossi won the inaugural edition of the Europa Conference League last year and have made a strong start after the World Cup break.

Arsenal, Barcelona and United are the Europa League favourites but they may have other priorities, and Roma could be the team to profit as they seek back-to-back European titles.

Europa Conference League

Nice at 16/1

West Ham are – perhaps surprisingly – the Europa Conference League favourites but with a Premier League survival fight on their hands this cup competition may be viewed as more of a distraction than anything else.

The Conference League does look wide open and French outfit Nice, who head straight into the last 16 rather than having to navigate a knockout play-off, appeal at 16/1 for the title.

Nice have been steadily improving and they managed a win over a strong Lille outfit at the weekend. They are also clear of the drop zone in Ligue 1 but too far away from the European spots to really challenge – and that means they have the luxury of really focusing on a cup run, and Les Aiglons have the talent within their squad to be real contenders in this tournament.
