Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

Sunday is another busy one across Europe, as the race for the Spanish and French titles heats up. Meanwhile, we could see the Dutch Eredivisie wrapped up, so there’s plenty to keep an eye on.

Luckily for you, we’ve teamed up with three Racing Post experts to produce a five-fold across Sunday’s games, with five tipsters picking out their bet of the day for Sunday.

You can see all five selections below, while head on over to our football tips section for more accumulators for Sunday.

Fiorentina vs Juventus – Both teams to score at 3/4

Fiorentina’s last eight Serie A games have seen both teams score, while the Viola have been in good scoring form this term. They’ve notched in 81% of their home matches and we expect them to trouble Juventus on Sunday.

Juve have gone nine games without a clean sheet, with Andrea Pirlo struggling to make them a solid unit. The Italian champions have seen both teams score in four of their last five in the league so there’s value to be found in backing more goals.

Ajax vs AZ – Ajax to win @1/2

Ajax had to put their title party on hold in midweek when they were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw at home by Utrecht, though the Eredivisie giants can seal top spot with a victory against AZ in Amsterdam on Sunday.

Alkmaar are enjoying a fine campaign in the Netherlands this season, though they were thoroughly outclassed when they last faced Ajax in January (0-3) and they should struggle to match the champions-elect when the teams square off for their rematch in Amsterdam.

Athletic Bilbao vs Atletico Madrid – Atletico win at 10/11

Athletic Bilbao were swept aside 4-0 by Barcelona in the final of the Copa del Rey and they could suffer a similar fate when Atletico Madrid head north on Sunday.

Bilbao are winless in eight league and cup matches and it has to be a concern that they have scored just three goals in that run, which started with a 2-1 defeat at Atletico on March 10.

Diego Simeone’s side have not been brilliant on their travels lately – they looked sluggish in their 2-0 Champions League reverse at Chelsea and have won just one of their last six away matches in all competitions.

However, they should be confident after a 5-0 win over Eibar and a 2-0 success against Huesca and they should be spurred on by the intensity of the La Liga title race.

Villarreal vs Barcelona – Barcelona to win at 8/13

Villarreal are in decent form in La Liga and have reached the semi-finals of the Europa League but they could be outclassed by title-chasing Barcelona on Sunday.

Ronald Koeman’s men are in a rich vein of form, brushing aside Getafe 5-2 on Thursday to record their 14th win in 16 La Liga fixtures since the turn of the year.

Barca’s only defeat in their last 21 league games came away to champions Real Madrid and they should keep up the pressure on Real and Atletico Madrid with a win over Villarreal, who were 4-0 down at half-time at Camp Nou in their opening game of the season.

Liam Flin

Football journalist and La Liga and Bundesliga expert at Racing Post.

Lyon vs Lille – Lille win

Christophe Galtier’s Lille are out of the French Cup and European competition and that should allow them to fully focus on their pursuit of the Ligue 1 title. They lead PSG by a solitary point going into this weekend’s matches and can overcome another title rival in the form of Lyon.

No Ligue 1 side has collected more points on their travels than Lille (37) this term and, having won 11 of their 16 matches on the road, they can come out on top at the Groupama Stadium.
