Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) – Price: £11.6m
Alexis Sanchez’s superb 14-minute hat-trick, along with an earlier assist, helped Arsenal to a 5-1 win at West Ham United on Saturday evening. Leading up front in his false-9 role once again, the Chilean recorded the highest Fantasy Premier League Bonus Point System (76 BPS) score of any player in Gameweek 14 and earnt his fantasy managers a huge 23 points. Sanchez may be the most expensive midfielder available, but he has earnt 11 more points than any other player in the fantasy format and his 37 points over Arsenal’s last two matches prove he’s more than worth his £11.6m price tag.

Harry Kane (Tottenham) – Price: £11.1m
Only Tottenham’s Harry Kane has claimed more new owners than Alexis Sanchez ahead of gameweek 15. Kane had an immediate impact upon his return to the Premier League after an injury spell, scoring five goals over his last four appearances for Spurs. A brace from Harry Kane on Saturday guided Tottenham Hotspur to a dominant 5-0 victory over Swansea City and alongside his four recoveries, two dribbles and two key passes claimed him the maximum three bonus points for the second time in his last three appearances. His popularity is soaring and he has a decent shot to continue his form against an inconsistent United side this Sunday.

Jermain Defoe (Sunderland) – Price: £7.7m
Jermain Defoe claimed an eighth goal of the season, and his fourth in five matches, in Sunderland’s 2-1 win at home to Leicester City last weekend. The veteran English striker earned a Bonus Points System (BPS) tally of 34, thanks to his decisive goal and a key pass, which was enough to earn him all three bonus points for a second time in four matches. Defoe’s outstanding FPL season continues following this nine point haul which consolidated his position as the second-highest scoring forward in Premier League Fantasy. Found in around 23% of fantasy squads, Defoe’s prospects remain strong ahead of gameweek 15’s trip to bottom of the table Swansea City on Saturday.

Marcus Alonso (Chelsea) – Price: £6.2m
Marcus Alonso, who made his first start for Chelsea following their embarrassing 3-0 defeat away to Arsenal in gameweek 6, has certainly played a key role in Antonio Conte’s newfound 3-5-2 formation that has taken the Premier League by storm. Chelsea have won all of their last eight matches, over which Marcos Alonso has collected six clean sheets, one goal and two assists. He has had more attempts on goal than any other defender since gameweek 7 onwards and with all of Chelsea’s next five fixtures being rated 2 or lower in the fixture difficulty rating (FDR), he should definitely warrant interest.

Emre Can (Liverpool) – Price: £4.9m
Liverpool’s Emre Can has been in decent form since his return to the starting 11 in gameweek 8. He produced a goal and an assist for the Reds in their disappointing 4-3 defeat away to Bournemouth last weekend and his registered five clearances, blocks and interceptions (CBI), four recoveries and two successful tackles also earned him 2 bonus points. For a budget midfielder from the highest scoring team in the Premier League, look no further.
Who to Bench

Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Sergio Aguero’s wreckless challenge on Chelsea’s David Luiz in Manchester City’s 3-1 defeat last weekend was more than enough to earn him a straight red card and a second dismissal for violent conduct this season. Aguero will miss out on City’s next four matches against Leicester, Watford, Arsenal and Hull, so we’d recommend transferring him out and using the £13.0m invested in him on other players, such as, Tottenham’s Harry Kane or Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)
Liverpool announced prior to their 4-3 defeat at Bournemouth that Philippe Coutinho (£8.5m) – the (now) fourth best midfielder in Fantasy Premier League – is expected to be out until the new year. Given his absence, we’d also recommend transferring him out and using this budget on another player, such as, Liverpool’s Emre Can (£4.9m), in the meantime.

Romelu Lukaku (Everton)
Romelu Lukaku has hit a dry spell of four matches without a goal or an assist. He found decent form following his hat-trick in Everton’s 3-0 win over Sunderland in gameweek 4, but Everton have, on the whole, burnt out after an excellent start to the new season. Everton should fancy their chances against Watford, however, with just two goals from their last four matches, we’d rather be investing in players from a side in better form.

David de Gea (Manchester United)
David de Gea is by far the most selected goalkeeper (36.1% TSB) in Fantasy Premier League. He’s not performing the worst from the “upper tier” goalkeepers – those that cost £5.5m – in terms of points accumulated, however, Manchester United have failed to keep a clean sheet in five of their last six matches and de Gea has earnt no extra points. Comparably, goalkeepers such as West Brom’s Ben Foster (£4.7m) or Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford (£4.2m) have almost the same number of points as they grind up extra points by being forced to make far more saves.

Raheem Sterling (Man City), Hector Bellerin (Arsenal), Pedro (Chelsea)
All of the above are some of the latest doubtfuls ahead of Gameweek 14, though there are plenty of other current injuries to be aware of. Leaving doubtful players in your lineup in the hope that they are fit in time is a gamble, but it can sometimes have its reward. If you choose to take the risk and leave a doubtful player in your lineup then make sure to order your benched players. That way, if your doubtful player doesn’t feature, the players you want will automatically be subbed in after all this weekend’s matches are finished.
