FST's 2023 highlights: Look back on a great year with 260/1, 179/1 & 164/1 winners!
Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Coming off the back of the 2022 World Cup, 2023 started like no other year we’ve seen in football. However, by August we had finally returned to the normal calendar after years out of whack.
Despite that, we have some brilliant winners to reflect back on from the last 12 months. Before we settle into the New Year and start casting our eyes towards the European Championships to come, let’s look back over the betting highlights here on FST in the past year.
Year opens with 164/1 Acca
It didn’t take us long to get off and running in 2023, as we landed our first massive winner of the year on January 3rd. Our 164/1 Mega Accumulator was one of the standout wins of the year, landing alongside five other winners across three sports to get 2023 to a fantastic start. Days later, that was followed up with a 51/1 Ultimate Bet Builder winner!
Our strong January showing continued, as we landed the first Correct Score Double of the year just nine days later, which clocked in at a massive 97/1! That was part of a brilliant January, form we’re hoping to repeat across our free daily tips in 2024.
February continued the Correct Score Double success, with a 70/1 winner that month’s highlight. We also had a huge 65/1 Bet to Net winner under our belts within weeks of 2023 getting underway, which made for another successful month of tipping.
Experts deliver in 2023
Our Experts’ Accumulator tips are a staple of the FST offering and our good friends at the Racing Post stepped up to help land some fantastic winners over the last 12 months.
The first Experts’ Acca to land was March’s 176/1 effort. That winner overshadowed a 23/1 BTTS winner on the same Saturday.
The Experts’ Accas continued into the new season and in September they brought home another 129/1 sixfold. Less than a month later came the biggest winner of 2023, with our Experts delivering a massive 262/1 winner during the international break!
Premier League success in 2023
Here at FST we always have you covered when it comes to Premier League predictions and 2023 brought some incredible success with our Premier League Mega Accumulators.
As the season drew to a close, we landed two Premier League megas within a week! First up was a 135/1 midweek winner at the tail end of April, with a 110/1 winner coming in the following weekend.
September saw us double up an Experts’ Acca with another 57/1 PL Mega, while we marked the start of the 2023/24 campaign with 15/1 and 15/2 winners.
FST on the double
As you’ve seen above, our Correct Score Double tips were a huge hit in 2023. Of those successes, the standout had to be September’s 108/1 effort.
Another standout market for the year was our Both Teams to Score & Win selections. That’s an area where we tend to focus on well-priced doubles and trebles, including August’s 64/1 winner!
That success was one of many in that market, as we had already secured a 49/1 treble, plus 24/1 and 15/1 doubles this year.
Ending the year on a high
Football doesn’t slow down in December and we had the Festive fixture rush covered from every angle. As the European football wrapped up for 2023, we produced 19/1 and 10/1 winners. That was followed by an early Christmas present for FST followers, who were able to wake up a week before the big day off the back of 63/1 and 11/1 tips landing!
Even in the final weekend of the year when things were quiet we still tipped up a 20/1 goalscorer double, while we finished the year with a successful match goals double on New Year’s Eve’s two Premier League matches.
We’ve got straight back into action for 2024 and we’re hoping to make this another brilliant year of winners!
