Our evening began in New York and it got off to a flyer as the Yankees thrashed the Marlins and, to be honest, the large majority of our MLB Mega Acca was plain sailing.
There was a brief scare as the Phillies required an extra inning to take the win, but the main drama unfolded in San Diego as we cheered on the Padres.
Despite our best efforts on the wrong side of the Atlantic Ocean, the Padres were 8-0 down heading into the 6th inning but produced a remarkable comeback and land us not only a 37/1 winner, but also a 12/1 MLB Acca, a 13/8 MLB Double and our 10/11 MLB Best Bet!
Other winners add the cherry on the cake
The MLB justifiably took most of the plaudits on Monday night, but there were six other winners to cheer for across three other sports.
In the footballing world, our Bet of the Day and Both Teams to Score Best Bet both landed courtesy of Inter Milan and a meeting of Kalmar and Sirius in Sweden.
The single basketball game yielded a 10/11 winner as Connecticut covered the handicap against Purdue to win March Madness.
And finally, sliding over to ice hockey, a goal-fest in Vancouver and a Maple Leafs win landed us our third NHL Double in four days, along with a sixth NHL Best Bet this month!
