Manchester United vs Brighton bet builder tip
Match result markets
Bet builder tip: Manchester United to win
Manchester United collected a rather undeserved three points when these sides met in September and they followed that up with a much more convincing performance in the League Cup under a week later.
They have won their last five meetings with the Seagulls by an aggregate scoreline of 14-4 and the visitors have lost four of their last seven competitive outings.
Both teams to score markets
Bet builder tip: Both teams NOT to score
It may have been a five goal thriller when these sides met in September but both teams have come a long way since then. Manchester United’s defence no longer looks as fragile as a Faberge egg and they head into this game having kept four Premier League clean sheets in a row and six in their last eight in all competitions.
Brighton have only seen goals at both ends in four of their last seven in all competitions and have lost to nil in two of their last three away games.
Bet builder tip: Bruno Fernandes to score anytime
Bruno Fernandes coolly converted a last-gasp penalty at the Amex Stadium in September to gift Manchester United three points despite a rather torrid performance, and the Portuguese midfielder’s influence hasn’t waned since then.
He is Manchester United’s top scorer this season with an impressive 23 goals in all competitions, taking his tally to 33 since he switched Lisbon for Manchester last January. He’s going through something of a drought by his high standards, but you certainly wouldn’t back against him punishing Brighton’s back-line on Sunday.
Bet builder tip: Harry Maguire to be booked
Harry Maguire has already picked up more bookings this season than he has ever managed before in the Premier League, getting into the referee’s bad books on eight occasions in the Premier League alone.
Three of these have come in his last five domestic appearances for Manchester United and he had real trouble dealing with Brighton’s attacking threat in Manchester United’s 3-2 win at the Amex in September.
Bet builder tip: Leandro Trossard to have 2 or more shots
Brighton may be precariously perched on the outskirts of the relegation battle, but their style of play belies their position and forging opportunities in the final third has never been an issue.
Leandro Trossard has been one of the Seagulls’ main attacking threats and you get the feeling Brighton would be in a much better position if the Belgian were a better finisher. He has had at least two shots on goal in four of his last six appearances and their game against Aston Villa in February saw the midfielder attempt six shots in total.
