Below we’ve collected our five 3* predictions for Sunday’s action to produce our 15/1 Star-Struck acca, covering the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and Serie A.
15/1 Star-Struck Accumulator
Tottenham vs Watford
Best bet – Tottenham to win to nil
The Nuno era at Tottenham has got off to a solid start, with three wins to nil from four games this term. That run should continue this weekend, with Watford struggling on the road. The visitors relied on home form to take them up last term and they have won once in their last five trips.
Spurs have conceded once in four games under their new boss and they should be able to hold a newly-promoted side at bay. The Hornets lost 2-0 at Brighton last weekend and this step up isn’t likely to help them.
Lille vs Montpellier
Best bet – Both teams to score
Montpellier were one of the best sides to watch in Ligue 1 last term because their games usually delivered goals. They’ve continued that this term, having scored nine times and conceded six across their three games.
Lille have scored five goals across their four games but they’ve failed to win any, with defensive issues hurting them too. Given that, we are backing a high-scoring clash when these two meet on Sunday.
Wolves vs Man United
Best bet – Man United to win
Wolves have lost each of their last five Premier League games, scoring a single goal in that run. Now they face a Manchester United side who are boosted by the imminent arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
United have won four of their last six league trips and their last defeat on the road in the Premier League came back in January 2020. With Wolves offering little in their two 1-0 defeats this term we’re backing a victory for the Red Devils.
Wolfsburg vs RB Leipzig
Best bet – Both teams to score
We’re confident in goals in Sunday’s Bundesliga clash, with Wolfsburg scoring in seven of their last eight matches at home. That makes them the perfect foil for a Leipzig side who tend to see a lot of goals.
The visitors have scored eight times in their opening three matches of the new campaign. They have also seen both teams score in five of their last seven away matches, so back goals with Wolfsburg a real threat at home.
Salernitana vs Roma
Best bet – Roma to win
Our final 3* tip comes from the late action in Italy, as Roma look to see off newly promoted Salernitana. The Giallorossi won 3-1 against Fiorentina last weekend and Jose Mourinho’s side beat Trabzonspor home and away either side of that victory.
Mourinho has Roma looking solid while the hosts were beaten 3-2 in their opener against Bologna. The visitors should prove too strong in this one so we have faith in the Giallorossi to claim all three points.
