LA Dodgers vs New York Mets Predictions
It’s hard for a game to feel more crucial to the LA Dodgers and their prospects this season than Saturday night’s game two match-up against the New York Mets. Besides the impact of falling 2-0 behind, the rotation’s second ace has to win.
Fortunately, they have got the perfect man on the mound to handle that pressure. Zack Greinke’s ERA was never above 2.00 all season long and he doesn’t seem to care what the situation is, or what’s significant about the game, he just pitches, the significance of this game won’t impact Greinke.
The importance of the game might be felt by Noah Syndergaard though, who makes his first postseason appearance on Saturday. He went 9-7 with a 3.24 ERA in his first MLB season, seemingly finishing the year with some of his better stuff. Still, this will be start number 25 and there’ll be added pressure in this match-up.
Game one wasn’t a big night for either team’s offense, but Daniel Murphy did hit a solo home run and continues to a bit of a spark plug in the heart of a pretty strong Mets’ order, which also includes Yoenis Cespedes and David Wright.
Three Reasons for Betting Tips
1. Zack Greinke
There’s nothing else to say. Only Greg Maddux has had as good a season in the history of the MLB. He may not be Maddux, but we’re not expecting Greinke’s impressive roll to stop tonight.
2. LA Dodgers find a way
We like the Dodgers a lot overall and we think they’ll find a way to tie up this series. Jacob DeGrom pitched brilliantly last night, but they’ll look to get after the rookie Syndergaard.
3. Syndergaard nerves
Postseason baseball is a different kettle of fish…
