13th Sept - Diamondbacks vs Dodgers

Patrick Corbin is on the mound for the Diamondbacks as they look to claim a late-season win over a division rival. The 26-year old’s development has been a significant bright spot for Arizona late in the season. He has thrown a lot of pitches since returning from Tommy John surgery. He’s 5-3 on the season with a 3.32 ERA.

There aren’t many hitters in this D-backs lineup that can boast much of a record against Greinke, but they are the fourth most successful offense in the MLB in terms of runs scored, so not to be under-estimated. Paul Goldschmidt, Chris Owings and Ender Incartiate bat in the heart of this order.

The Dodgers will turn to the on-fire and almost perfect Greinke. He could be destined for a Cy Young award with a 16-3 record and 1.68 ERA. His worst moment of the season came when his ERA briefly rose to 1.97 after a weak start against San Francisco in June.

He arguably laboured a little in the team’s most recent win, but there’s little doubting that Greinke’s season will set him in pretty impressive company. He’s also been a big part of a Dodgers’ team that has another balance and depth to be a legitimate World Series contender.

Three Reasons for Betting Tips

1. Greinke

Don’t bet against Grienke right now. He’s pitching lights out and there’s no reason to think it won’t continue against an opponent that he has dominated since putting on a Dodgers uniform.

2. Diamondbacks hitting not quite right?

The D-Backs own one of the best offenses in the MLB, but their hitters haven’t been swinging the bat consistently through August. Something’s not quite right for Arizona.

3. Stick to the money line
