AFC Bournemouth vs Boreham Wood Predictions
- Bournemouth’s last three home wins have all been by three or more goals.
- The Cherries won 3-1 at National League side Yeovil in the previous round.
- Boreham Wood have only failed to score in one of their last 25 games.
Cherries bid to avoid Boreham Wood upset
National League promotion hopefuls Boreham Wood stunned League One side Wimbledon in the previous round of the FA Cup but they may well fall short at Bournemouth in the fourth round on Sunday.
The Wood are in excellent form and are unbeaten in their last 16 in all competitions, but Bournemouth are a big step up in class and have already seen off fifth tier opposition in the FA Cup as they won 3-1 at Yeovil in the previous round.
The Cherries are involved in the battle for promotion in the Championship and as such may rotate for this cup assignment, but they should still have the quality to win inside the 90 minutes.
Bournemouth can win with room to spare
Bournemouth boss Scott Parker made wholesale changes for the win at Yeovil in the previous round but the Cherries still managed to win by a two-goal margin.
Parker may opt for few changes against this in-form Boreham Wood side who have already claimed one EFL scalp and are yet to concede in the competition, and with home advantage the south coast club should be able to win with a bit of room to spare.
The Wood have only failed to score in one of their last 25 games in all competitions and should be up for this test in front of the ITV cameras on Sunday so a goal for the fifth tier outfit certainly isn’t out of the question, particularly if Parker does shuffle his pack, and as such a 3-1 win for the Cherries stands out in the correct score market.
