AIK vs Djurgarden Betting Tips & Predictions

AIK’s season has been frustratingly inconsistent so far. They are eight matches in to the new Swedish Allsvenskan season and they are yet to put a good run of form together, although they have also proved difficult to beat.

The hosts haven’t won back to back games yet this season, and their current record is three wins, three draws, and two defeats; a record that puts them in a very disappointing 10th position considering their 3rd place finish last season. It is still very early in the campaign though and they have every chance to turn it around.

Djurgarden finished in a more modest 6th position last term, but they began this season brightly with a run of three consecutive victories right at the beginning. They hit a snag when they lost 3-1 at home to Hammarby, and they have never really recovered from this defeat.

The visitors come into this match having lost four and won one of their last five outings in the Allsvenskan, and that singular victory came against the newly promoted Ostersunds FK.

Both of these teams have issues at the back and both have shown that they are very capable going forward at times. They have scored a combined 27 goals so far this season, which has resulted in three or more goals in five of AIK’s eight games and six of Djurgarden’s matches. Odds of 4/5 for Over 2.5 Goals look valuable then, so I’m backing that.

As far as correct score prediction goes, Djurgarden have lost their last three games on the road and conceded an average of two goals per game, and AIK do have a good unbeaten run going against them. I think a 3-1 win for the hosts at 16/1 looks good.
