Angola vs Egypt Predictions

• Egypt won the reverse fixture 1-0 back in September.
• Angola have lost three of their four World Cup qualifiers.
• Egypt won 3-0 away at second-placed Libya last month.

Smooth passage

So far Egypt have made light work of their group collecting 10 points from a possible 12 only being held by Gabon (3rd) in a 1-1 draw. Since then they have beaten Libya twice without conceding with a 1-0 win at home last month followed up by a 3-0 victory on their travels. In fact, Egypt have conceded just one goal through four qualifiers and can clinch their place in the third stage with all three points here.

Angola meanwhile were at the 2006 World Cup but they won’t be at Qatar in 2022 having lost three of their four qualifiers. They were unable to build on a 3-1 home win over Gabon in October, losing 2-0 in the reverse fixture three days later.

Angola have taken seven points less than Egypt at this stage and were narrowly defeated 1-0 when they hosted Libya, who sit second, on September 7th.

Streak set to continue

Egypt are unbeaten in eight competitive games away from home since June 2018 and haven’t lost a competitive game home or away since July 2019.

The Pharaohs might be made to work hard for their win but for the third time in this qualifying campaign, we’re tipping them to dig out a 1-0 win.
