Antwerp made their Champions League debut this season but it has not been a happy one as they have lost all five of their group stage matches after beating AEK Athens in the play-off to qualify.

A pair of losses to both Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto will have been especially disappointing for the Belgians, who are the only team in the competition yet to take a point from their group.

Antwerp also have the worst defensive record in this season’s Champions League, having conceded 15 times in five matches, and are aiming to avoid the infamy of becoming the first team to lose all three Champions League home matches and concede at least three in each one.

They face a tough test in this final matchup however as they host Barcelona, who beat them 5-0 in the reverse fixture.

Barca fancied for comfortable success

Barcelona suffered a major shock in the La Liga title race on Sunday as they lost 4-2 to league leaders Girona, but they should be able to bounce back in style here. Barca need just a point to top the group but they should be able to pick up all three without conceding.

Antwerp have struggled to land a blow on any of the teams they have faced this season and the same looks likely in this matchup.

While the visitors may rotate, they should still be able to get the victory and are fancied to do so without conceding.

Antwerp’s poor defence could be exposed again and correct score backers should side with a 4-0 win.
