Antwerp vs Eintracht Frankfurt Predictions
- There have been at least three goals in 70% of Frankfurt’s away matches since the start of last season.
- Antwerp have seen at least three goals in three of their four home league games this season.
- Both of these sides offer up a hatful of chances to their opposition.
Captivating encounter in Antwerp
Antwerp travelled to Greece for their opening group game at Olympiakos but fell to a 2-1 defeat. They’ve won three on the spin since and have been scoring goals for fun, but they’ve also conceded four goals across those last three wins.
Eintracht Frankfurt are the kings of draws it would seem. They’ve drawn all of their last six matches and have drawn 1-1 in their last five straight games – including in their Europa League opener at home to Turkish side Fenerbahce.
The Belgians have scored in seven of their nine Pro League games this season but they have also conceded in eight of them. They’re just a point off Club Brugge at the top of the table and they have been exceptionally entertaining this season. Their problem is they just can’s stop conceding and are suspect defensively.
The visitors have won the ball back in the final third more than any other Bundesliga side so far this term and if they can do that they should be able to score at least a couple here. But they also gift chances to the opposition and will allow Antwerp to have opportunities of their own.
With both sides excellent going forward but vulnerable defensively, we’re expecting the overs to land here and an entertain 2-2 draw is our correct score selection.
