APOEL vs Sparta Prague Betting Tips

There isn’t an awful amount riding on this game with Sparta having already qualified for the knock-out phase while APOEL are already out. The Czechs need a win to have a chance of winning the group and APOEL will be hungry for more points and their final chance to land some prize money from their European adventures this season.

Sparta Prague are in good form having won their last 4 matches in all competitions and are the favourites to win this match although it is by no means a certainty. They are unbeaten in the Europa League this term but have only won 2 of their 5 group matches which were both at home.

One of those victories was a 2-0 win against APOEL in the reverse fixture, while the other came via a 1-0 win against Asteras. They have only won 1 of their last 13 away games in this competition though so it is hard to see this being a stroll in the park for the Czechs who may make a few changes given they are through.

APOEL have been fairly poor though throughout the group and have only scored two goals. Their form has been poor even in Cyprus and they have scored just once in their last 4 matches, losing 3 of them. They come into this match after back-to-back home defeats for the first time in 3 years.

With APOEL struggling for goals and form and Sparta without any major motivation, this is unlikely to be a classic and it looks to be worth backing there to be 2 or fewer goals at 3/4.
