Hosts can claim vital win

Atalanta are out of form, but there might be a bit of value in the home win when they host Fiorentina on Sunday.

Both teams have lost more games than they have won this season. Atalanta, who are 13th in the league, have won two and lost three of their 12 games, while Fiorentina, who are 19th, have no wins and six defeats.

The visitors have been disappointing in front of goal away from home this season, scoring just four goals in six games – an average of 0.67 goals a game on the road.

The visitors are looking vulnerable at the back. Fiorentina have been unable to keep their opponents at bay in seven straight Serie A games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in 17 of their last 20.

The visitors’ away form is a major concern. Fiorentina have failed to win any of their six Serie A away games this season, and are without a win in 12 league games overall. They have failed to win eight of their last nine on the road.

A 2-0 win for Atalanta looks the best correct-score bet.
