Atalanta to Win @ 3/4

We use stars to rate our confidence in our tips, with 3 being most confident to 1 being the least.
Atalanta 3-2 @ 18/1

Reason For Atalanta vs Roma Predictions

  • Roma have lost 3 of their last 4 matches.
  • The visitors have failed to win any of their 6 clashes with the league’s top 4 sides in all competitions.
  • Atalanta have scored 11 in their last 3 Serie A games.
  • 45% of Atalanta’s home games have seen over 4.5 goals.

Top Four Showdown

The sides in fourth and fifth in the Serie A table are starting to look a little isolated. Fourth-placed Atalanta are 11 points shy of Lazio and the title race. Meanwhile, Roma have moved five points clear of sixth. However, just three points sit between these two ahead of Saturday’s clash.

Atalanta and Roma look to be the only serious candidates for the final Champions League berth. That makes this weekend encounter between the pair look huge, as la Dea could open up a six-point lead in fourth with a victory.

Roma’s Collapse

As Roma edge towards new ownership, the Giallorossi have felt that impact their results on the pitch. There’s clear uncertainty in the dressing room, which has seen them win only two of their last eight games. Roma have suffered three defeats in four, with their last two matches bringing a 3-2 defeat against Bologna and a 4-2 setback from Sassuolo.

Meanwhile, the hosts have failed to win any of their meetings with the top four so far this season. They’ve been beaten at home by both Juventus and Atalanta in the league, while the Giallorossi just lost 3-1 at Juve in the Coppa Italia.

Atalanta’s Opportunity

Roma’s form leaves the door open for Atalanta to strike this weekend. This match has fallen perfectly for the hosts, who have won two of their last three league games, scoring 11 times in that run. On top of that, they are unbeaten in four meetings with Roma, having scored 10 goals.

With Roma in awful form, we are backing them to slip up this weekend. Atalanta have picked up some strong results in recent weeks, which has left them in a great position. With Roma losing three of their last four games, we expect la Dea’s position to get better. A home win is our pick in this clash.

So far this season, Atalanta have seen an average of 4.4 goals scored per home game. The hosts have seen 82% of their home games finish with at least four goals, while 45% of their matches here have seen five or more. With Roma scoring nearly two per away game on average, we’re backing a 3-2 victory for Atalanta as our correct score pick.
