Austria vs Estonia Predictions

They may have missed out on a place at Qatar 2022, but Austria are a team on the up, with their 4-1 win over Azerbaijan on Friday a third straight win, following defeats of Italy and Andorra.

When they come out on top, Ralf Rangnick’s side also generally seem to do so comfortably, as seven of their last eight victories have been by at least two goals.

That form is mirrored going back over their previous European qualifiers too, with nine of the last ten ending in an Austria win, four of them by at least two strikes.

Estonia looking for rare away win

Estonia on the other hand have a terrible away record in European qualifiers, losing six of the last seven and failing to score a goal in nine successive fixtures.

Five of those defeats have been by at least two goals, while they have also lost five of their last ten away matches across all competitions, four of them by two or more goals.

Thomas Häberli has generally made the Baltic nation tougher to beat since taking charge in January 2021, but the fact is they don’t score enough goals, failing to do so on nine occasions in 19 outings.
