Hosts have it all to do

The hosts reached the semi-final of the UEFA Cup back in 2005 but in the Europa Conference League this season, AZ Alkmaar have it all to do as they seek to overcome a two goal deficit after losing 2-0 in Belgium. They simply have to come firing out of the blocks and whilst they should certainly find their way onto the scoresheet, their defence leaves a lot to be desired and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Anderlecht catch them out at least once.

The visitors know that they’re in control and they will hope that they can continue a trend after scoring the opening goal in five of their previous seven outings. However, they have not had ideal preparation ahead of this tie after suffering a heavy 5-2 defeat away at Genk, but perhaps they can be forgiven considering they will inevitably of had one eye on this fixture.
