Basel vs Lech Poznan Betting Tips

Basel come into this game against Lech Poznan having enjoyed a good start to the season, and they will be confident of maintaining that on Thursday.

They have only lost once this season in all competitions, and they have won 14 of their 17 competitive games.

Their single loss came a couple of weeks ago when Young Boys beat them 4-3 in the Swiss Super League, and their two draws came against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League qualifying stages.

They were eliminated on away goals against Tel Aviv, sending them into the Europa League group stages.

Interestingly, Basel actually played Lech Poznan in an earlier qualifying round of the Champions League, beating them 3-1 away from home and 1-0 at home, so the advantage is certainly in Basel’s court coming into this game.

Lech Poznan aren’t enjoying such a good run. They won against Ruch Chorzow in the Polish Cup last week, but that is there only win in their last six matches in all competitions.

Three of these games have ended in defeat for Lech Poznan, and their goalless draw at home to Belenenses in their Europa League opener isn’t a result to be proud of.

After finishing just two points off the Polish champions last season, they already look out of the title race after picking up just five points from their opening ten games.

I can’t see this match ending any other way than a Basel win, and I think odds of 1.750 for a Basel -1 Asian Handicap Win are excellent value given the fact that they have scored 14 goals in their last five games.
