Bayern Munich -2

Reason for tip

Bayern Munich have covered a -2 handicap in five of their last seven matches. They have won all five previous home matches against Belgian clubs and look capable of a comfortable win against a Brugge side that lost 3-0 at home to Dortmund in last season’s league phase.

Bayern Munich 4-1

Reason for tip

Bayern are averaging around four goals per game scored and one goal per game conceded this season and a 4-1 victory may be the outcome if they play to form. Brugge have scored in the majority of their European away trips over the past couple of seasons but are unlikely to register more than one against a Bayern side that has conceded only 17 goals in the last 35 home games in the group stage/league phase.

Harry Kane To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Harry Kane’s 22 goals scored and 27 goal involvements (five assists) are both the most of any player in the Champions League since his Bayern debut in the competition in September 2023. The England striker already has four goals over the first two games of this continental campaign.

Bayern Munich vs Club Brugge Predictions

No Belgian breakthrough in Bavaria

Bayern Munich welcome Club Brugge to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night and it’s hard to see past a comfortable Champions League three points for the German giants. Belgian teams have not fared well in Bavaria with Bayern having won all five previous clashes with clubs from the country.

Vincent Kompany’s men could not be in better form or mood after winning their tenth (11 if you count the Super Cup) game in a row on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat of Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker.

They are scoring plenty of goals (38 in 10) with Harry Kane spearheading an outrageously talented forward line that seems not to be missing injured Jamal Musiala too much. And the Bundesliga champions have not conceded more than one in any of their last seven outings with three clean sheets in that span.

Brugge can bag in likely loss

One of last season’s surprise packages in this competition, Brugge began their Champions League campaign with a 4-1 home trouncing of Monaco. But they fell to a 2-1 loss to Atalanta in Bergamo on Matchday Two and are potentially without several key defenders in Munich.

That probably spells trouble against a team as ruthless as Bayern, who can secure a victory with a couple of goals to spare against teams of a much higher standing than Blauw-Zwart.

Back the Germans to get the job done in their efficient style by covering a two-goal handicap _ as they have done in five of their last seven matches. A 4-1 scoreline may be the outcome of they keep up their goal averages for scoring and conceding this term.
