Bayern Munich vs Juventus Predictions

Bayern will be annoyed after letting a two-goal lead slip in Turin, but with only one home defeat in all competitions all season Pep Guardiola’s side will expect to progress. Guardiola is in his final season at Bayern before joining Premier League side Manchester City and he will judge his time in Bavaria to be a failure unless he can win the Champions League once more. Defensive injuries have left Bayern weaker than usual although they have one of the strongest attacks in Europe, with Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller both piling up goals again this season. If there is one criticism of Guardiola it is that he fiddles too much, but a match-up against fellow tactician Massimiliano Allegri could be a fascinating contest.

Juventus started their season badly but have been virtually unstoppable of late, charging to the top of Serie A thanks to a long winning streak in the league that only ended recently with a 0-0 draw at Bologna. Battling back to secure a 2-2 draw in the opening leg showed the spirit and character of the Italian side, but having conceded two vital away goals they still have a lot to do in this match. An injury to star striker Paulo Dybala could be decisive and Juve are also without Claudio Marchisio and Giorgio Chiellini for this game, significantly weakening their chances. But the Italians will battle and can force Bayern to produce their best football.

Bayern are very short odds for this game so perhaps value can be found in the goals markets. Over 2.5 goals appeals, but our tips for this game is both teams to score at 19/20 with bet365 as Bayern and Juve will both commit plenty of men forward in attack. Bayern should win the tie in 90 minutes and a 3-1 win for the hosts is a very tempting 10/1 with bet365.
