Benevento vs Napoli Predictions

• Napoli have won three of their first four Serie A matches, scoring 12 goals in total.
• While Benevento have claimed six points from 12, they were beaten 5-2 by both Inter and Roma.

Napoli to Keep Firing

After succumbing 3-0 to Juventus before the international break, Napoli produced the perfect response at Stadio San Paolo last weekend as a brace from Hirving Lozano propelled I Partenopei to a 4-1 triumph against early leaders Atalanta.

The result means it’s now three wins in four league outings for Napoli, who are up to fourth in the Serie A standings ahead of this weekend’s clash at Stadio Ciro Vigorito.

Their defeat at Juve aside, Gennaro Gattuso’s charges have been in exceptional goalscoring form with 12 netted already this term – and that spells bad news this Sunday for a Benevento outfit who were hit for five by Roma last time out.

Last season’s Serie B champions can be contest overall with their start to life in the top flight after beating Sampdoria (2-3) and Bologna (1-0) to claim six points from a possible 12, but 5-2 hammerings at the hands of Roma and Inter confirmed the limitations of Filippo Inzaghi’s side who simply don’t have the tools to trouble the top teams in Italy.

It’s no surprise then that Napoli are heavy odds-on favourites to triumph this weekend and I Partenopei can be reliably thrown into the midweek accas at odds-on, despite losing at home to AZ Alkmaar in midweek when they fielded a weakened starting XI.

In terms of a main wager though, an away win with both teams to score looks the best option. Benevento have scored in all four of their games thus far and can at least grab a consolation against a Napoli backline that have conceded four in their last two. With plenty of goals anticipated, we’re also tipping up a 1-3 score-line which would maintain the visitors’ current average of three goals per game.
