      Benfica Over 2.5 Team Goals

      Reason for tip

Benfica have been making light work of these qualifiers, winning 7-2 and 6-3 on aggregate in their previous two rounds. Aarhus aren’t any better than their two previous sides they have faced, Benfica can make easy work of this scoring at least three here, as they have done in three of their last four home games.

      Benfica 3-0

      Reason for tip

Benfica have kept two clean sheets in their last five, and should be able to comfortably see this out without conceding. Back The Eagles to win 3-0 here.

      Benfica vs AGF Aarhus Predictions

      • Benfica have scored eleven goals in their last two European matches
      • The Portuguese giants thrashed Hearts 6-1 in their last match at the Estádio da Luz
      • AGF have conceded six goals across their last two matches

Benfica can take control in Lisbon

Benfica are one tie away from reaching the Europa League league phase, with Danish champions AGF standing in their way after both sides dropping down from Champions League qualifying. The Portuguese giants should be confident of taking control of the tie on home soil, having produced an emphatic performance in the previous round. They hammered Hearts 6-1 at the Estádio da Luz before drawing 1-1 in Edinburgh to cruise through 7-2 on aggregate.

AGF’s Champions League adventure ended in much more disappointing fashion. They took a 2-1 advantage to Azerbaijan after beating Sabah in Denmark, with James Bogere scoring both goals, but collapsed to a 4-0 second-leg defeat to exit 5-2 on aggregate.

The Danish champions then suffered another setback when losing 2-1 at Viborg at the weekend, meaning they head to Portugal having conceded six times across their last two outings.

Benfica showed just how dangerous they can be at home against Hearts and should have far too much attacking quality for an AGF side coming off two defeats. Back the hosts to establish a commanding first-leg advantage scoring over 2.5 goals.
