Benfica have got off to the perfect start to the new Primeira Liga season, winning all three of their games so far and sitting joint top of the league. They have two goals in each of their games so far and have advanced to the group stages of the Champions League in what has been a very successful campaign so far.

Tondela have failed to build on a good start to the season with their 3-0 win over Santa Clara on the opening game a distant memory following their losses to Vizela and Portimonense in the two fixture since. They will hope to turn that around but could struggle against a Benfica side riding high on confidence.

Whilst Benfica have won all of their game so far, none have been dominant wins and the generous odds on backing the under 2.5 market look too enticing and we’re backing this game to see under 2.5 goals.
