Blackburn Rovers vs Birmingham Betting Tips and Predictions

Blackburn are looking to bounce back here after their derby day defeat at Burnley at the weekend. They were beaten 1-o and lost their long unbeaten record at Turf Moor but can take something from an improvement in recent performances. Prior to that loss they had won 3 of their previous 4 Championship matches all of which came at Ewood against Fulham, MK Dons and most impressively Middlesbrough. They are still down in 17th place though and could do with another couple of wins to guarantee their Championship status for another season.

They will get better opportunities than this though. Birmingham are having a fine campaign under Gary Rowett and their 1-0 win over automatic promotion favourites Hull last week was a huge boost to them. The Blues are just 1 point outside the play-off places but have a game in hand on the two sides above them. They were beaten at QPR in their last away match but had only lost 1 in 7 on the road prior to that.

Birmingham have looked good away from home all season and have lost only 4 of their last 19 away league games. They are 14 points and 9 places better off than Blackburn so it is a bit of a surprise to see Blackburn as short as Evens to win this with some bookies. Birmingham have already got results in tough games at Derby, Middlesbrough and Burnley this season so a trip to Ewood won’t fear them and backing Birmingham Double Chance at 4/5 looks good value here.
