Pacesetters Bodo/Glimt can shut out Lillestrom

There is a heavyweight clash in Norway on Friday evening as Eliteserien leaders Bodo/Glimt take on fourth placed Lillestrom.

Glimt have been in excellent form since the summer break with four wins and four clean sheets in as many games.

This will be the third meeting between these sides in 2026 and Glimt have won both of the previous clashes without conceding. They claimed a 4-0 cup win at this venue in March and won the reverse league fixture 2-0. Going further back, the home side have dominated this fixture for some time with 12 wins and just two defeats in the last 17 head-to-head meetings.

Backing the hosts to win to nil looks a strong angle here given their ongoing clean sheet streak and the fact Lillestrom have failed to score in the last two meetings. The visitors do have a reasonable strike rate on their travels but they have failed to score in both of their league losses so far after seven trips so may draw a blank against the league’s best defence.

Jens Hauge has been used sparingly since returning to Glimt from the World Cup. The 27-year-old, who made one substitute appearance for Norway in North America, had a goal and an assist as a second half substitute in the win over Sandefjord last time out and looks ready to return to the starting side. If he is involved from the off, he is the standout contender for an anytime goal.
