Bohemians vs Waterford United Predictions
- Bohemians have won the last two home league games by four-goal margins.
- Waterford have lost the last three away league games without scoring.
Bircham’s Blues will try to cramp Bohemians’ style
Bohemians look to be banker material for this Saturday’s home Premier Division clash with basement club Waterford, who are looking to snap a six-game losing skid.
Bohs have won three of their last four while scoring plenty and they even dominated the one game they lost during the month of May,
That 2-1 reverse to third-placed St Patricks Athletic was tough to take given Keith Long’s men had levelled the scores with a 90th minute penalty, only for the referee to even things up by handing the hosts a spot-kick of their own seconds later.
They took out their frustrations on Dundalk last weekend by handing down a 5-1 thrashing with ex-Lilywhites striker Georgie Kelly bagging a hat-trick against his former club.
He seems to be finding his feet as a regular starter in the Premier Division and is currently the joint-top scorer on six goals.
Fellow offseason recruit Liam Burt is also contributing in attack and the Waterford defence won’t be relishing the challenge of keeping the duo quiet on Saturday.
The Blues have shipped 27 goals in 13 league games to date and were on the wrong end of a 7-0 thumping only three weeks ago.
Former QPR midfielder Marc Bircham hasn’t been able to turn the tide in the two games he’s had at the helm since journeying across the Atlantic.
But the Londoner has narrowed the margin of defeat down to just the odd goal from an average of four goals per game just prior to his appointment.
This is unlikely to be anything other than a home win and we reckon Waterford might still not have enough to deny a Bohemians -1 bet on the three-way handicap.
