Peru vs Bolivia Predictions
- Bolivia have won to nil in their last three games.
- The hosts have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three meetings with Bolivia.
- The visitors have conceded 25 goals – the most of any team in the CONMEBOL.
Home form vital for Peru
Peru put themselves on the back foot early doors in this qualifying campaign as they suffered four losses in their opening five matches. But they recovered well and discovered some form as they secured wins of Ecuador, Venezuela, Chile and also managed a draw with Uruguay. Their away form has been the biggest issue, something they don’t have to worry about here as they play host to a resurgent Bolivia outfit, who they’ve beaten in four of the last five meetings.
Bolivia’s excellent form has seen them move up to seventh in the table but they still possess the worst defensive record having conceded 25 goals – the most of any team in the CONMEBOL.
It wouldn’t seem plausible watching them play recently though as they have secured three wins, all to nil, in their last three matches in all competitions. Boss Cesar Farias will want to keep things tight here and hope their forwards can fire them to victory. If they do, it may help them on their way to sneaking a place in their first World Cup since 1994.
Attack the best form of defence
Both of these teams want to win and have pretty poor defensive records. As such, we’re expecting goals here and we think that both teams can find the back of the net at a very generous price. A score draw could also be in the offing.
