Bosnia And Herzegovina vs Romania Predictions
- Fewer than three goals have been scored in seven of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s last eight matches.
- Fewer than three goals have been scored in nine of Romania’s last 11 internationals.
- 11 of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s last 13 home matches have featured fewer than three goals.
Trip to Bosnia not as testing as it used to be
Bosnia-Herzegovina finished strongly to grab a draw in Finland last time out, but it will take a bit more before they can be trusted to get the job done at home – even against a team in a state such as Romania. Tricolours head coach Edi Iordănescu is coming under pressure after their opening game 2-0 defeat to Montenegro in which nothing appeared to go right for his side.
Romania created very little and their usually robust defence – that had kept six clean sheets in their previous seven competitive games – had a night to forget too. Whether they can bounce back here is open to question given this team have won only two of their last 11 road games – against Iceland and Liechtenstein.
The hosts are not as solid on their own turf as they used to be a couple of years ago when a trip to Zenica usually meant a thorough examination for even Europe’s elite nations. The Dragons have won just two of their last 15 home internationals played since November 2020, during which time the likes of Iran and Georgia have caused upsets.
Romania can shut out dreary Dragons
A 1-0 win over Luxembourg in March and a sterling second half showing in Helsinki aren’t quite enough to have us latching onto them as a 5/4 good thing here. The stats are clearly pointing us to the goal markets for the value as two sides without many goals for and against them recently are pitched together for this contest.
Fewer than three goals have been scored in seven of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s last eight matches while nine of Romania’s last 11 internationals have also failed to produce a third strike, so an ‘unders’ play looks promising. The Dragons, who have returned a meagre six goals in their last 13 home games, are slightly more potent away from home now and Romania are just short on confidence all over the pitch.
A 0-0 draw is worth a try in correct score betting as Romania will surely put their focus on getting back into the clean sheet habit while the hosts have come up blank in six of their last ten home games.
