Bournemouth vs Stoke Betting Tips

Bournemouth’s new year resurgence came to an end on Sunday when they lost 2-0 to an out of form Arsenal side, and despite their recent run of good results they still find themselves in danger of slipping into a relegation battle.

They are currently five points clear of the bottom three of the Premier League in 15^th position, which illustrates just how much trouble they were in considering their good run recently.

Bournemouth have won three, drawn one, and lost one of their last five matches in all competitions, but their Premier League form is less impressive. They have only won two of their last eight in the top flight, with three defeats and three draws making up the remainder of their results.

Stoke will be hoping to take advantage of this lack of winning mentality, because they come into this match on the back of a three match losing streak in all competitions.

Their last win saw them beat Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield, but even that ended in a defeat as they crashed out of the League Cup Semi Final on penalties.

This makes it just one win from their last six matches in all competitions, although they have faced a few tough teams during this streak. Manchester United, Leicester, Everton, Arsenal, and Liverpool have been among their opponents, so it’s somewhat understandable that they haven’t managed to score in five of their last six games.

Bournemouth’s defence is much weaker than any of these teams. The hosts have conceded 41 Premier League goals this season, so I think Stoke will be able to break their duck and get a goal or two on Saturday.

This makes me think that Stoke will manage to get a result, and odds of 4/5 for a Stoke Win or Draw Double Chance look good value to me. I’m also going for a 2-1 win for the visitors at 14/1.
