Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions
Bournemouth continued their resurgence last weekend with an absolute mauling of the out of form Hull. Charlie Daniels opened the scoring within five minutes, and despite an equaliser coming half an hour later, Bournemouth went on a rampage in the second half and won 6-1.
This made it three games unbeaten for Bournemouth, including a victory over the in form Everton and a draw at Vicarage Road. This pushed them up to 11th in the Premier League, and such a convincing victory is bound to give them a huge boost in confidence.
Junior Stanislas netted twice in this victory to take his Premier League tally to three goals for the season, with Callum Wilson also scoring and having three to his name this term. All of Junior Stanislas’ goals this season have come at the Vitality Stadium as well, so he will be one to keep an eye on.
Bournemouth are coming up against a defensively sound Tottenham Hotspur though. The visitors have conceded just two goals in their last seven matches in all competitions and held Bayer Leverkusen to a goalless draw away from home in midweek. This extended their unbeaten streak to seven matches, five of which have been victories.
They had the chance to go top of the Premier League last weekend but could only muster a draw at West Brom, but it could have been worse for them if not for Dele Alli’s 89th minute equaliser. This was his 3rd Premier League goal of the season, whilst Heung Min-Son has three in the Premier League and one in the Champions League, to make him Spurs’ top scorer and main threat.
The South Korean will definitely be the major threat for the visitors. All four of his goals this season have come away from home and he recently became the first Asian player to win the Premier League Player of the Month award. He’s earned the man of the match award in two of his three trips away this season, so backing him to score anytime at 7/4 with bet365 is an excellent choice.
Due to his excellent recent form, that’s what I’m backing for my main prediction. The hosts have conceded ten goals in their last five games in all competitions and nine in their six home games this season so Son should get plenty of opportunities to add to his tally. I’m going for a 2-1 win for the visitors at 17/2 as well for my correct score prediction.
