Bournemouth vs Watford Betting Tips

Bournemouth failed to score in either of their first two Premier League matches despite their incredible scoring record in the Championship last season.

But they finally got back to their old ways when they put four past West Ham in a thrilling 4-3 win.

Callum Wilson bagged a hat trick in that match, and followed that up with a goal against Leicester the following week and another two weeks later in their 2-0 win over Sunderland.

Unfortunately for him, and for Bournemouth, he was stretchered off in their 2-1 loss against Stoke last weekend with a knee injury that could keep him out for six months.

This is a major blow to Bournemouth’s chances for survival, as he joins the likes of Max Gradel and Tyrone Mings on the sidelines to make a trio of very valuable players with very serious knee injuries.

Watford haven’t picked up any new injuries since the beginning of the season, and remain without Lloyd Doyley and Joel Ekstrand through injury and Valon Behrami due to suspension.

Watford, like their opponents, also scored a huge amount of goals in the Championship last season. They got off to a good start in the Premier League as well when they were unlucky to win against Everton in a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.

It all went downhill from there though, and they failed to score in any of their next four matches in all competitions.

They broke this poor streak of form with a 1-0 win over Swansea though and followed it up with a 2-1 win at Newcastle.

They lost last weekend at Stoke, but they will be happy with their performances over the past few weeks and confident of getting back to winning ways on Saturday.

I think the injures Bournemouth have sustained will cause them some real problems in the coming weeks, and I fancy Watford to take the points on Saturday. Odds of 6/4 for a Watford Draw No Bet look like really good value too, and looking at Odion Ighalo’s excellent recent form I’d consider backing him as first goalscorer at 7/1.
