Braga vs Estoril Predictions
Braga may not be a real threat to break into the Primeira Liga’s top three, but they are starting to make fourth place their own. There are real signs of significant progress for this club this season, they eased into the knockout round of the Europa League competition and they’ve given the top three tough games. They will want to rectify more recent form though, they were held to a 0-0 draw by Boavista last weekend.
It won’t be easy against Estoril, who are a staunch defensive team and always get men behind the ball to try and make things difficult. They’ve lost two of their last three games, but those results were against Benfica and Porto, they’ve actually won two straight against ‘regular competition’.
Head-to-Head
Estoril actually won the meeting earlier this season between these two teams, shutting Braga out 1-0. Braga won both meetings last season, including a 2-1 home victory.
Team News
Andre Pinto is suspended for Braga after a red card, Aaron Niguez could make a return, but is more likely to be rested, while Crislan ad Djavan are both currently out for undisclosed injuries.
Estoril are relatively healthy, Francisco Rocha Dieguinho could return up front, while Tijane Freitas Reis and Frederic Mendy are likely to miss out.
Reason for Betting Tips
Braga are a tough side and we’re getting a very nice set of odds at 11/8 on this market, they’ve only conceded 14 goals on the season, Estoril have only scored 19, and we’re confident that Braga will find a way to wear down their opponents and come away with three points.
