Braga vs Marseille Predictions
Portuguese side Sporting Braga top Group F through two games picking up wins in both games. Meanwhile, French team Marseille and Czech squad Slovan Liberec each have one win and one loss from those two games. Dutch club Groningen have lost both of their games. The group will take significant shape after the third match-up.
Braga have won their first two games, in both cases 1-0. They travelled and earned a tough win over Slovan Liberec, before looking a little less convincing in terms of their attacking prowess against Groningen. This is an organised, but unspectacular football team. Still, they’ll feel confident heading into a game at home, even against the potentially dangerous Marseille.
That brings us neatly onto the French side. Any hopes of a recovery appear to have officially faded. They drew 1-1 with Lorient last weekend and are now win-less since a September 17th victory over Groningen in Europa League. There are numerous explanations for their struggles, but the essence of it feels stylistic. They want to play the Marseille way, but they don’t have the ability to do it. New manager Michel has struggled to fix the side’s problems.
Three Reasons for Betting Tips
1. Don’t be put off by odds
Braga will relish the opportunity to play this game at home, they’ll welcome Marseille’s pressure and they’ll aim to frustrate the French side, while them on the counter attack. The odds only mean that this is a real money making opportunity.
2. Marseille
It’s been nearly a month since they last won a game. We don’t like the way that the 2015-16 season has been developing for Marseille.
3. Defence over attack
Both teams will know that it’s an important game and in that context, we will almost always favour the team with the better defence as opposed to the team with the better attack.
